Company Updates

In December 2015, the team focused on Sky Tether, a tethered drone project which enabled us to fly for long periods of time. We also flew our drones on campus, fixed screens, and talked about future projects which will begin in 2016.

December 2015 was huge for us. Arland, our founder, graduated which meant that we had to focus on finishing up projects and recruiting new team members. Here's what we were mainly working on throughout the month:

Elliot and Kyle fixing a screen which attaches to one of the drones that they built.
Elliot fixing the GoPro attached to the drone to test and see if the screen that he just fixed works.
Flying through the Syracuse University campus.
Elliot flying on the quad.
A triple exposure images of Elliot and Chase's drones flying on the quad.
A triple exposure image of Kyle, Chase, Elliot, and Arland flying the Inspire 1 in Thornden Park in Syracuse.
Chase and Arland testing the SkyTether.

Sky Tether, is a drone project that Skyworks has been working on. It's a drone that's tethered to a battery pack, so that we are able to fly for a lot longer than the usual battery life of other drones. Throughout the past few months, we've been working on developing this project and testing how long we're able to fly.
